When asked which part of your body is your
asset, most of the respondents are likely to say their thick mop of hair.
This is so
because hair is said to be the pride of a person, and if they are faced with
severe hair loss issue, it could have an impact on their personality
itself. Such is the level of importance
placed on our hair, which therefore needs to be preserved and cared for as much
as the rest of the body. We go for body massages, and to the salon for a pedicure
or manicure for our nails. But we end up neglecting our hair, which also needs
massage to revive the dead cells and remove any infection or dryness. The hair
products that we see in stores are pretty useful in keeping our scalp clean,
which in turn will help increase hair growth. Sometimes a person might have
long hair, but it would be thin and look lifeless. They need to take vitamin
supplements or hair growth capsules to increase thickness of hair.
When our
appearances change, especially with hair loss, our self image also goes down
and it the person could go into depression or anxiety. They would also go into
a shell, and not want to meet others, be it family or friends. Alopecia is
another condition that affects the hair on a person's head or body. There is no
100% cure for these ailments, but the affected person can resort to some of the
herbal hair products which will help control the condition and revive blood
cells in scalp. Herbal products are not made of chemicals and so they work
better, and give effective visible results. The various oils, and ointments are
made using herbs, and parts of plant found in the wild are nourishing and have
magical powers. These are absorbed by our bodies faster and increase overall
health conditions. The affected person is encouraged to massage their hair with
oil and wash with walnut oil, or kelp oil shampoo. There are also few brands
that make Soya bean shampoo which is light on the hair and works wonders.
For those who
wish to colour their hair, the natural herb found in henna is recommended, and
in India
this is a popular herbal hair product by almost all. These are at times
combined with tea leaves to add to the richness of color, and washed off with
water. One other hair product used most commonly is warm oil, it could be olive
oil or coconut oil, but when it is massaged into the scalp and left overnight,
it opens up closed pores in the scalp rejuvenating the hair roots making them
grow healthier. A person is also advised to drink plenty of water, as this is
said to cleanse the system of any toxins present.
Yoga, another
form of exercise, which is done without machines, but by flexing the body, is a
good form of stimulating hair growth. Without use of hair products, only by
performing certain postures mentioned in the yoga, one can keep their body fit
and their hair silky smooth.
Resorting to
herbal oils and products will protect the vitamins in our hair , rejuvenating
the blood cells in scalp. These have been found to be more effective and work
better in the long run.
