Pranayama done without supervision has the potential to fuck you up really bad. It is never to be done without supervision. How so?

If you want solid proof from a couple of respectable sources you can read Light on Yoga by BKS Iyengar and Hatha Yoga Manual by Yogeshwar.Pretty much any genuine Yoga teacher will warn you of the severe dangers of doing pranayama without adequate supervision. And no it's not something that you would ever do naturally, the breathing is quite modified. Done wrong or in excess, without the prerequisites etc they say it can unhinge the mind or destroy your nervous system.

You know what, I've always heard that warning before. And to tell you the truth I'm always like wtf? Its breathing what harm can it cause. But on reading your comment my attitude about it has changed. I'm gonna take it very seriously. P.S I'll message you later to get more info. Thanks.
